He experiments with colour as light, broad surfaces and crevices, and leaves some raw areas unfinished. Whereas before the canvases were marked by a complicated interplay between front and behind, now iridescent \u2018in-between worlds\u2019 take over, with an enormous variety of \u2018theatrical sets\u2019. The result: a richness borne of painterly, lyrical colour gestures and an informal style which takes the viewer on an amazing, dazzling journey of \u2018discovery\u2019 bristling with the vibrancy of colour.
