In 2025, Dietmar Brixy continues his tradition of hosting an annual solo exhibition in this extraordinary location \u2013 this time exploring a theme that resonates deeply with our times: <strong data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"828\">WANDERLUST<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"831\" data-end=\"1207\">This word \u2013 evoking the urge to travel, a spirit of discovery, and an inner longing \u2013 serves not only as the exhibition title, but also as the conceptual thread running through Brixy\u2019s newest body of work. This is not merely an exhibition of individual works \u2013 it is an immersive journey into imagined landscapes, rooted in both the natural world and the artist\u2019s inner vision.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1592\" data-end=\"2038\">Brixy\u2019s painting becomes a medium of movement and transformation. Rather than depicting reality, these works embody shifting spaces, emotional states, and transitional phases. Energetic structures collide, blend, dissolve, and reform within his complex compositions. His canvases hover between abstraction and the suggestion of landscape \u2013 evoking forests, horizons, and light atmospheres \u2013 while always leaving space for personal interpretation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2040\" data-end=\"2236\">At the core lies <strong data-start=\"2057\" data-end=\"2071\">Wanderlust<\/strong> as a state of longing: for direction, freedom, and self-discovery. This theme manifests visually as paths and traces \u2013 like maps guiding us through unknown terrain.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2243\" data-end=\"2542\">One of the most striking elements of the exhibition is the group <strong data-start=\"2308\" data-end=\"2331\">\u201cWanderlust Bubble\u201d<\/strong>. These circular paintings recall portholes, telescopes, or planetary windows \u2013 drawing the viewer into an alternate dimension. The round format invites a sense of balance and introspection amid visual dynamism.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2544\" data-end=\"2909\">The color world of these works remains uncompromisingly vibrant: earthy ochres and browns merge with radiant yellow, turquoise, and blue. Warm and cool nuances interweave, traversed by transparent shades of orange and green. Each layer of paint speaks of movement, rhythm, energy\u2014nothing remains static. The surfaces appear relief-like, full of traces, fissures, and condensations\u2014a visual resonance space for emotions and memories.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2911\" data-end=\"3148\">This is painting without linear narrative. The works function more like emotional landscapes \u2013 with detours, voids, layers, and condensed zones. His finely carved figures form a compelling contrast to Brixy\u2019s expansive paintings: where Brixy opens vast spaces in color, Hepp focuses on the intimate, the quiet, and the introspective.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3812\" data-end=\"4143\">Hepp\u2019s sculptures are storytellers. These sensitive, often subtly exaggerated figures are never caricatures \u2013 rather, they convey nuanced emotional states through posture, gesture, and expression. Themes such as closeness and distance, vulnerability and strength, wonder and resignation all exist simultaneously within their forms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4145\" data-end=\"4477\">Some of his works incorporate everyday objects or contain moveable parts that provoke surprise \u2013 poetic, humorous, and always crafted with exceptional skill.
