Following two acclaimed exhibitions in Venice, Dietmar Brixy continues his artistic journey: From November 19, 2026, the renowned Galerie Geuer & Geuer Art in Düsseldorf will present selected works by the artist under the title “Dietmar Brixy: Wanderlust – A Journey Between Reality and Imagination.”
From the historic Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana on St. Mark’s Square, where Brixy presented his exhibition The Description of the World in 2024, to Palazzo Bembo during the 2026 Venice Biennale, his artistic journey now continues in Düsseldorf.
With WANDERLUST, Dietmar Brixy explores fascinating visual worlds between reality and imagination. Radiant fields of color, multilayered textures, and expansive horizons evoke movement, longing, and the desire to discover the unknown. Landscape is not understood as a specific place but as an inner realm of experience – a reflection of memories, emotions, and personal imagination.
The exhibition at Geuer & Geuer Art revisits significant artistic milestones of recent years while offering a fresh perspective on Brixy’s distinctive visual language. Works that once entered into dialogue with centuries-old Venetian architecture now encounter audiences in an entirely new spatial context.

About the Gallery
Galerie Geuer & Geuer, based in Düsseldorf, is among Germany’s renowned galleries for modern and contemporary art, earning recognition beyond national borders through its international exhibition projects and collaborations with distinguished artists.
Under the direction of internationally active gallerist, curator, and art publisher Dirk Geuer, who represents the third generation of his family in the art market, the gallery combines ambitious exhibition projects with close collaborations with prominent artistic figures.
Throughout his career, Dirk Geuer has worked with internationally acclaimed artists, including Günther Uecker, Heinz Mack, Tony Cragg, Christo, and Jörg Immendorff. A special connection also exists with Venice: In 2024, Dirk Geuer served as chief curator of the exhibition program at the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana on St. Mark’s Square, where Dietmar Brixy’s works were also presented.
With WANDERLUST, this artistic collaboration continues at the gallery’s exhibition spaces on Heinrich-Heine-Allee in Düsseldorf.
