Powerful, gnarled olive trees anddelicate, tender ginkgo leaves now start to catch the artist’s eye and his artistic sympathies. They are joined by other new themes: avenues and horizons, which the painter captures on canvases both large and small. These images, with their heightened sense of center, are distilled into the “Beyond” show at the Altes Pumpwerk Neckarau in the fall of 2008.
