The city of Mannheim commissioned four paintings from the series "winter bamboo magic" (2011) for the meditation room of the newly designed Neckarau spa. Like many of his works the inspiration for these powerful and lyrical paintings came from the garden surrounding Brixy’s studio and home, the „old pumping station“.
