On 10 October, 2015, Dietmar Brixy received the Historic Preservation Award 2015 for "the exemplary restoration and conservation of old pumping station in Neckarau". The award was presented by the Cityscape Association of Mannheim at a ceremony in Brixys home and atelier the "Old Pumping Station Neckarau".
