WORKS 2011
Dietmar Brixy
The year 2011 features a striking number of major engagements further afield than the Altes Pumpwerk. Dietmar Brixy meets the desires of exhibitors and puts together a potpourri of works selected from many different series including Eden, Beyond, and Bamboo Bubbles. The artist’s joy at revisting and varying the ‘older’ works is plain to see in the new ones. This time there is no autumn show at Brixy’s old pumping station, instead a select display, open on the four Sundays in Advent.

» Bizarre rivers of color flash through the thick color fog like bolts of lightening as if they endeavored to send jerks of energy through this amorphous primeval paradise. (…) The painting itself is the painter’s paradise, and we are allowed glimpses into the creating of painting (…). «
